School of Allied Health Sciences, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation – Deemed to be University, Salem We are proud to announce that a total of 13 cadets from the School of Allied Health Sciences, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation – DU, Salem, enthusiastically participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC - I) organized by the 5 (TN) Air Squadron (Tech) NCC, Salem, under the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman Nicobar Directorate. This prestigious camp provided an excellent platform for our cadets to undergo rigorous training, enhance discipline, and cultivate leadership skills through a series of structured activities including drill practice, weapon training, physical fitness sessions, lectures on national integration, and adventure-based learning modules. Our cadets showcased exemplary discipline, teamwork, and commitment throughout the camp duration. Their participation in this event not only enriched their NCC journey but also brought pride to our institution. The exposure to structured military-style routines and the opportunity to interact with cadets from different colleges greatly contributed to their personal and professional development.

Our college's SW cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) have secured 1st Prize in the Yoga Competition at the Annual Training Camp organized by 5 TN AIR SQN (Tech) NCC, Salem, under the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman and Nicobar Directorate. ANVESHAN, an International competition for University

We extend our heartfelt Congratulations to our talented 3rd-year B. Optometry students—Mr. Mano Ranjith K, Ms. Mahalakshmi B, and Ms. Vaishnavi G—for their outstanding achievement in ANVESHAN, an International competition for University students on Research, Innovation, and Technology for a Better and Sustainable World, conducted by the Association of Indian Universities(AIU). They successfully cleared Phase 1 (University Level) and represented our college and university in Phase 2 (Zonal Level) under the Health Sciences category. Their project was selected in the Poster Presentation, advancing to the Oral Presentation, where they made it to the *Top 10 teams..

Republic Day Parade

School of Allied Health Sciences, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem. Ms. Rajeshwari, an NSS Volunteer and Perfusion Technology student, successfully participated in the Republic Day Parade after completing a training camp at VIT, Chennai, from January 17th to 25th, 2025. She took part in the parade on Republic Day at Chennai’s Marina (Kamaraj Salai), where she had the honor of performing before esteemed dignitaries, including the Chief Minister and the Governor of Tamil Nadu. Prof. Dr. B. Sendilkumar, Dean and Director of the School of Allied Health Sciences, appreciated her outstanding achievement, offering heartfelt congratulations and emphasizing that her success should inspire other students to pursue excellence.

We Are Pleased to Announce the Successful Completion of the State Level Workshop on Youth Against Digital Media Addiction, at Anna University, Chennai, From 21st January 2025 to 23rd January 2025. The Workshop Was Organized by Youth Welfare, Sports Development Department &Tamil Nadu State NSS Cell, Aiming to Create Awareness About the Growing Issue of Digital Media Addiction Among the Youth. We Are Delighted to Share That Yukesh.A 2nd Year B.Sc. Cardiac Technology Abinasri.A 1st Year B. Optometry, Student from the School of Allied Health Sciences, Vims Campus, Participated Actively in This Valuable Workshop. The Event Focused on Developing Healthy Digital Media Habits and Understanding the Impact of Excessive Media Consumption. Through Various Sessions, Students Gained Important Insights into Promoting Balanced Digital Use and Addressing Related Challenges in Today’s Society. We Congratulate Yukesh &Abinasri for their active participation and commitment to spreading awareness of this crucial subject. We trust that the knowledge gained will contribute positively to their personal development and help make a significant impact on others.

National-level idea presentation event

School of Allied Health Sciences, VMRF-DU. I am proud to share that our students, Thangaraj (Third Year, Anesthesia Technology) and Harinipriya (Third Year, Operation Theatre Technology), have won first prize, along with a cash award of Rs. 5000, at Techspectrum-Ideanova, a National-level idea presentation event organized by SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Tiruchirapalli Campus.  Our students won amongst the heavy competition of students from various institutions across India.Our students presented on "Orthogenie – AI-Driven Implant Selection" and was selected as winners from the 100plus ideas that was presented. The idea was well appreciated by the expert juries
