School of Allied Health Sciences, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem. On the occasion of National Service Scheme (NSS) Day 2025, the National Service Scheme in collaboration with the National Cadet Corps – 5 TN AIR SQN (TECH) NCC, Salem, organized a successful ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Cleanliness Drive on 24th September 2025 at the 1008 Shiva Temple near Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Ariyanoor, Salem. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. B. Sendilkumar, Dean & Director of the School of Allied Health Sciences, who officially launched the cleanliness drive and unveiled a waste management awareness flex banner at the temple premises. In his address, he highlighted the importance of hygiene, community participation, and sustainable environmental practices. The drive witnessed the active and enthusiastic participation of 100 student volunteers from NSS and NCC units, who worked diligently to clean the temple surroundings and promote awareness about proper waste management. The initiative not only contributed to maintaining cleanliness at a culturally significant site but also reinforced the values of civic responsibility and environmental stewardship among students.
