Department of MPH and Young Indian club of School of Allied Health Sciences, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Salem, organized a community outreach program on World Population Day 2025 at the Primary Health Care Centre, Veerapandi. The event aimed to raise awareness about population control and its impact on health and society. UG students performed a powerful mime depicting issues like overpopulation, healthcare burden, and resource scarcity, while promoting family planning and responsible parenting. Public Health students delivered an interactive talk on population growth, contraceptive methods, maternal health, and small family norms. The session effectively engaged the local community. Dr. Ramya and Dr. Kamali, Chief Doctors at the centre, graced the event and lauded the students' efforts, stressing the importance of youth in public health advocacy. The initiative achieved its goal of community awareness and provided valuable experiential learning for the students. The institution remains committed to promoting public health through meaningful outreach programs.
