The National Science Scheme and Department of Forensic Science Technology, SAHS, VIMS Hospital Campus, VMRF-DU, Salem, in association with Salem City Police and Health Services Directorate, organized the Nasha Mukt Bharat Pakhwada Programme 2025 on the International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking at Dr. ASG Auditorium.
Resource persons included Dr. Murali (ACP, Salem), Dr. Aswath Vetrivel (District Tobacco Control Consultant), and Mr. Gokul (Health Inspector), who addressed drug abuse issues among youth. Prof. Dr. B. Sendilkumar, Dean & Director, SAHS, honored the guests and delivered a keynote address.
Over 150 students attended, took a Drug Awareness Pledge, and participated in the inauguration of the "Drug-Free Campus" board and a short film screening by 3rd-year Forensic Science students, promoting a healthier, drug-free environment.
